At our house last night...

Abi was in seventh heaven with Tucker here to wallow on the floor with her. The picture is kind of dark, but can you see her smile? Tucker can come over any time! Abi loves him. Can you see the old man in the background? He's another story.

This old man isn't doing well. It's a daily discussion between The Peddler and I if today is the day. We keep saying, well as long as he can get outside to potty and he's not in pain we'll hang on. But tonight he's not acting right. He will not let me out of his sight. Even though it's so hard for him to get up and down he goes everywhere I go. So I decided to sit at the computer, and he is right under my chair. Not like him. He's almost 14 years old and I have had him since I found him and all of his litter mates in a dumpster. He's the one that my daughter said no one wanted. Truth be told, she was the one that wanted him. He has cost me more money than any dog I have ever known and he has been worth every penny. So, we'll see what tonight brings and hope that I don't have to make any tough decisions tomorrow. Love you Maverick.

Oh Kim, hard I know, firsthand. The nicest thing for me,because of my beliefs, is knowing doggie heaven holds lots of steak tasting dog food, prime rib bones to chew, dog poker to play, and yes, the best of friends with which to romp and play. Hope Maverick is having a peaceful day.

I always get a little twinge in my gut when Carmen doesn't come right away when I call her. She's getting slower and slower unless there's a goodie to chew on.

Our pooches send greetings to your pooches.

Kim, I share your pain where our "kids" are concerned. How wonderful that you have given him a good, loving home for all these years. That is how I comfort myself...knowing that I've loved and cared for my dogs in the way that I do, for as long as I am given. I truly believe that they find us instead of the other way around. A big hug! Tanya

So sorry, Kim. I know the heartache all too well. They truly do become our 'children'. Know his heart is at peace by your side. ((hug for you both))

Oh Kim, this just breaks my heart, as how well I know what you're going through. But as Tanya said (which was the same thing she said to me when I lost my little Reggie), you have given Maverick a wonderful home and a good life. Peace be with you, my friend.
