Buck is on the road to recovery!

Here he is sporting his new bandage. New, because he chewed the first one almost off and ran in some much this morning. The vet checked the cut and said it is healing better than she expected. That makes us happy!

How about that fancy lime green!

He was also sent home with a paw protector and a bottle of Chew Guard.

And Gwen, Buck says hi!

He's done it again!

Buck decided to put his paw right through a window today. Poor guy is drugged up, stitched up, wrapped up, and out of it. Never a dull moment at Casa Johnson. Maybe he just thought since The Peddler was replacing windows he needed to do that one too! That's a heck of a way to make your point Buck!

He's At It Again...

Except this time The Peddler is messing with my craft room. There was something about this lovely window he just couldn't live with.

Out came the glass, piece by piece.

Next came the crow bar, yikes!

Get ready for it.....

Please note, that a look such as this,

usually results in this! This docudrama shall be continued!

A Celebration Of Life ...

Today at 3:00 P.M. Texas time Tina Wright's Celebration of Life will begin. I met Tina 2 years ago when Becky brought Tina into Mystic Paper. From that day on we were blogging and facebook buddies. She always left positive, comforting comments for me that always ended with Hugs! I kept telling her that I would make it to Texas someday for her Paper Cowgirl Retreat and I never did. Oh how I wish I would have gone now.
So, here's a resolution of sorts. I am going to make a much bigger effort to visit my friends and make sure they know that they are important to me.

Heaven will certainly never be the same now that Tina is there. She had a gusto for life and it showed in her art work as well as her every day life. In honor of Tina's Celebration I will light a candle in her honor at 2:00 P.M. Arizona time. You are missed so much Tina! Hugs!

Quick Christmas Review - This was a Christmas of a lot of "firsts".

First stop, Apple Valley, CA at Chris and Joana's house. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with Rick's kids and grand kids. Here is The Peddler with all three of his boys! Not a first of course, but it has been a long time.

Dean and Taylor had a blast tearing into their Christmas presents!

Next stop, San Diego where Dylan and Mason got to meet their cousins Dean and Taylor for the first time!

On to Sea World for Dylan and Mason's first time, where Anheuser - Busch thanks our service men and women by letting them and their direct family members in for free!

Papa, aka Penny the Penguin and Dylan having fun!

Hamming it up with Shamu

Next up, their first trip to the beach

Finding out that ocean water is salty!

We met Anna for the first time. She is Jason's girlfriend from Thailand. They live in Hanoi, Viet Nam where Jason works. This was Anna's first trip to the U.S. She is a beautiful girl and a great cook!

Then, on to youngest daughter Caties house where we met Mike, her boyfriend and yes, there is a baby on board! First baby for them!

And this meal is another first. Because that baked potato was brought from Mike's relatives farm in North Dakota. The best potato I have ever eaten. And Catie and Mike did all of the cooking! It was yummy.

So, that's Christmas 2009. The first Christmas that we have been with all of our kids and grandkids!

This is my word for today... Not really a resolution but something that I want to feel every day

pre⋅cious

highly esteemed for some spiritual, nonmaterial, or moral quality: precious memories.

This is how I am feeling about someone that I have only met in person once. Tina heightened my feeling of who I am and who I want to become. She truly knows h
erself and is not afraid to put it all out there cowgirl style!

New Year's Resolutions

As I said before, I have never been one to make resolutions. And I don't know if the things that I am thinking about even count as resolutions. Maybe more like lifestyle changes. And, I'm going to take them slowly. Posting them over the next few days. Let's start with this one...

Simplify ~ and by that I mean I am going to do my best to not take on anything that will keep me from doing the things that I want to do. So that's first, I'm going to simplify my life!

sim⋅pli⋅fy

–verb (used with object), -fied, -fy⋅ing. to make less complex or complicated; make plainer or easier: to simplify a problem.

With that, I am going to leave you with a picture I just took from where we are camping tonight. I know, I said I would be home by now, but why? We simply wanted to stop here so we did!

Happy New Year everyone!
