Todays Adventure

We took a little ride out to Pioneertown. I say little because this town is literally 10 minutes from our house!

Let's just say I've spent some time at this Honky Tonk! I'll have to get The Peddler to take me out Saturday night so I can get pictures of the inside. A truly amazing little place.

These are pictures from the actual movie set that is still here. It was used for old westerns by Roy Rogers, The Cisco Kid, and others. Here is a link to learn more about this set.

This is an actual real Post Office. Pioneertown has a small population but there are plenty of horse ranches. If you've never ridden in the desert on a full moon you are really missing out.

The O K Corral

I couldn't resist the swinging saloon doors!

This is such a unique little town. Makes you feel like you are really back in the old west!

I LOVE THE PICS!!!! Takes me back to my days of watching the cowboy shows on TV.

Another thought ... the old wagon with the hay bales. How cool would that be done in sepia for a fabric collage??? I can see a "body of work" forming!!!!
