These two came to visit for almost the whole day today. We usually see them in pairs like these two.
But lately this one has been coming and we've never seen the mate.
Poor thing...doesn't he/she look lonely?
With a name like Lovebird wouldn't you think they would be the friendliest of all species of birds. Well, apparently they are to each other but if you're an outsider, look out! These little guys are agressive!

Are they natives, or are they probably someone's escaped pets?!?!
aww...they're adorable! I've never seen any like this out here...maybe I should put out some of that exotic bird seed. We have a hummingbird haven in our backyard...they are super aggressive...at least towards me. LOL! They darn near skim the top of my head as they fly by! Not sure why....maybe a nearby nest?

This is amazing!!!! Lovebirds out in the wild! Someone must have lost a pair somewhere....they sure aren't native to AZ....how cool! I would love to see these in my backyard!
