Collage Camp has begun at Casa Johnson!

Here's all of my coffee stained fabric hanging on the fence. I wonder what the neighbors think? Who cares...I'm creating!

Trims, laces, and upholstery fabric.

This is my favorite piece. I think it's called a dickie. It's like a lace inset. I have had this for years and knew that someday I would find the perfect thing to do with this. Can't you just see it on a cowgirl collage? Minus the white buttons of course!

I can't wait to get started! Of course Buck helped me out with the Birds Nest paper. I think he was watching the video where K C Willis says she lets her dog play with her fabric to give it the more "vintage" look. Well, he found my paper and it's sufficiently distressed and already torn into smaller pieces for me to use.

Wow! You got on this right away! I just looked at all three videos yesterday and will coffee dye later today! I decided to try using my "bushes" as a drying rack to see what happens. Isn't coffee supposed to be good for plants?? Hope so! Love the dickie! I think I will retrieve the lace collars I have for sale at Merchants to dye and save for future use!

i LOVE old lace! how fun! i think it's odd, some of the lace and handsewn napkins i've inhereted are new, still ironed, with creases where folded, never been used... i always stop and ponder WHY? were there better napkins? were these in a drawer only to be taken out for special guests? and who were those guests going to be?!? questions...

Oh so jealous right now. So wishing the camp was not one of the things I crossed off my busy list.
