I really need to thank all of you...

Thank you for your comments, thoughts, and prayers. Boy do I need them. We have Hospice Of The Valley helping us out now. They are very supportive and do an amazing job. We still have our battles to fight, me especially, since I can't understand how someone would not want to try and make them self better. I am practicing my listening, not reacting, and turning to walk away routine. It worked tonight pretty good. Who in their right mind (I say that very loosley) would think that taking 2 pills a day is too much? But I am learning that the process of dying is complicated at best.

You know what I'm thinking right now...Lord, please take me quickly!

On a brighter note, while I didn't get to go to CHA, Jennifer did go and she came back with tons of eye candy. Tomorrow we are going to sit down and decide what new product we want to bring in and get some ordering done. Now that makes me happy!

I have been thinking of you and wondering how things were going. Hospice is wonderful and they do take a bit of the burden off of you. I am so happy you have such great support. Ya some people just can't help being cantakerous can they. Mosy people would love to take only 2 pills per day
Can't wait to see the new goodies you order
Take care

Please, please, please remember to take care of yourself, too!! Actually, do that first! I have walked in your shoes more than once and I know how important it is to take care of yourself. Otherwise it will make you ill.

Since you are a caregiver, you need to be "on your game" to deal with the DAM banshee life has put in front of you. Get out as much as possible, talk as much as possible, vent, walk outdoors, immerse yourself in your art work, and do continue to walk away.

Lots of hugs and love to you!!

Hey Kim, I second what Judy said. It sure was good to catch up with you the other day. You're always right there in my thoughts and prayers, kiddo.

Walking away is such a good trick. The cycle of life seems to come full circle and now you have to treat your elders similar to how you treat or treated your children.

We are thinking about you! In other news I can't wait to see what new product you guys choose!

Been thinking of you a lot this week. I found out my aunt's caretaker had a stroke and my aunt is now in a care facility. When I tried to talk to her, she said it was cold and still snowing to everything I asked. Yikes, getting old sucks. Hang in there lady.

Kim, bless you. Amazing what comes into our lives to help us grow and make ourselves better equipped to give joy to the world. There are many times I have thought I was tired of growing and wishing I could close my eyes and be transported to a calmer, safer haven. I keep having to remind myself I can do exactly that. As Judy said, take care of yourself. You must take care of yourself. I also keep reminding myself, as one ages, our qualities become more intense. From what I hear about Dam my guess would be she has always been a very determined and strong but stubborn woman. The same qualities one loves about a person are the same ones that cause us unpleasantness. Alright, I did not mean to write a whole post! Hugs, CeCe

I'm going to take a lesson from you - listen, don't react, and walk away!!! If it can work with DAM, it can work with anyone! As Lindsey said, you're at the point where you find yourself treating your elder like you would your child. It just can't be easy. Kids are hard enough, but the adults/elders as supposed to know better. I'm with you - take me quickly!!

Can't wait to see what ya'll order!! Maybe I'll drop by today and see if I can catch a glimpse of anything potential....
