You guys all know how much I love a good rodeo...
Well this is the biggest Rodeo ever and I got to go! This is the opening ceremonies for National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. We got to go because of The Peddlers job. He was a big shot. And there were perks. Lots of perks...like this and Paris! So The Peddler asked me if I was having a good time. What! My response was "the only thing that could make this night any better would be if George Strait walked in.
And The Peddler said "you mean that guy?" I just about fell over. I didn't know what to watch the Rodeo or George Strait. Now, I've seen him in concert many, many (probably too many times) but never that close. We were breathing the same yummy, horse, air. If I knew how to do those fancy arrows I would point out who he is. Better yet...
How about a close-up!
Yep! I was that close and I didn't pass out. I didn't even bug him for an autograph. He was there to watch his horse compete. I think it was in steer wrestling. But really, who cares. He. Was. There. This was also the trip where we found out we had to move to Arizona. It involved a helicopter, a pilot named Fabio, and lunch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. But that's another story!

Now what exactly is yummy horse air? Is it a combination of air, dirt, and manure? Maybe a dash of cowboy seat thrown in...I'm still thinking about that one.
Cowboy SWEAT, not his seat!
It really pays to read your comment before hitting that button doesn't it?
!!!!!!!!!! Lucky You !!!!!!!!!!
Oh I don't know, I kinda liked Cowboy SEAT, Jennifer!
Kim, you just keep these stories coming. I just love photos of George Strait while I'm drinking my morning coffee. But the yummy horse air . . . umm . . . I'm not so sure. Can't wait for the next installment. The description sounds like the cover of a romance novel. :)
Wow, Kim! You aren't kidding about the PERKS! What an exciting life you and The Peddler have lived. And it isn't over yet. Still in the honeymoon stage, I'll bet!
Well, bring on the next story. We have all been wanting more. You might just have to publish a blogging book! Is there such a thing?
I love hearing about your past. Remind me to show you a picture from lego land, they have a stadium that looks just like your first picture. And George Strait...WOO HOO! Talk about perks!
Kim, I've really been enjoying all your trips down memory lane.
Whoo-hoo! I am SO jealous that you got a pic of Gorgeous George! I've been almost that close to him at a concert at Frontier Days, but I had to be careful to not get hit in the back of the head by cowgirls boots! Yep, they were throwing boots...I always wondered what they did with 'em all, lol!
And isn't National Final an excellent time? I'm thinkin' we could get in a lot of trouble there for sure! HA!
WooHoo! now that was the icing on the cake to see G!Glad you had a cowgirlriffic time!!
OMG- you're so funny!!!
