Another fabric collage!

Do you think I am having fun with this? I am...I love it. Joining KC Willis' Collage Camp was one of the best things I have done. I love this little cowboy on the fancy pony.

Thinking about becoming a little greener?

Due to The Peddler's extreme handyman abilities he gets to meet some of the nicest people. The owners of this company happen to be related to our across the street neighbors. They had some remodeling to be done and Stacy referred them to Rick. Long story short, they sent Rick home with some of their "green" cleaning products. Can I just tell you that I love them. Especially the Arctic Blast. Cleaned windows perfectly with no streaks. Cleaned my counter tops and made them look like they had been polished! Needless to say I am hooked. And they smell good!
Peppermint Power Cleaning Powder. Works great and smells so good. And how about the cute. retro, refillable sugar shaker it comes in!

So Orange Furniture Polish. A little Frappe for your furniture. I know this sounds like a commercial, but I haven't even met these people. I just thought I would share this. How can you beat it. It's made right here in AZ, it really works, it smells good, and its GREEN!

This weeks happenings...

Busy, busy, busy. Lots of classes in the store this week which equals lots of hours in the store for us. Great classes and fun students makes for a great week. I'll have a new next door neighbor this week. Guess who? How fun is this gonna be? We can just yell at each other to get to work!

Today was kind of different. We kept the store open to have a special class with this Artsy Fartsy Fairy. We haven't been open on Sunday's for awhile now so it was kind of nice. Got to catch up and share stories with a couple of really great women. We shared stories about having our older relatives living with us. Cheryl has been doing this for for longer than I did with Myrna and I can so feel her pain. I don't talk about Dear Aunt Myrna much any more, so here's a little update. She is still alive and kicking. The peddler took Abi the Golden Retriever over to visit her today. Pet therapy, it's a wonderful thing! She is still on Hospice and her legs have started swelling so I don't know where this is going. Per Hospice Of The Valley, we are taking it day by day.

My next conversation was a good one. I was picking the brain of one of the most honest, sincere, and trustworthy people I know about what and what not is acceptable when it comes to teaching classes. Can you teach something that you learn from another teacher? Can you change one thing on a project and teach it as your own? Did I learn anything? Yes. It's a very gray area and you should remember "Thou Shall Not Steal". And, as I like to think...treat people the way you would want to be treated.

Am I ranting...yes, a little. Here's to the beginning of a great, new week!

Seriously...

Where have I been? Lost in creating fabric collages and lost in Facebook. I blame facebook the most. But, it's been great. Reconnecting with old friends. Finding out where their road has taken them. Finding friends that are literally spread out across this Country and talking like it was yesterday. Grade school friends, High School friends, past co-workers. It's been amazing. But I really need to focus and do my laundry!

What do you do with a brothel token?

If you're me you put it into a collage! I can't say I really love this collage. I guess rhinestones, pearls and lace just aren't my style. But I had to use that darn token that's been floating around in my junk drawer for some time now.

I do love this photo.

And trust me, the other side of this token is pretty raunchy! I didn't want to offend anyone!

Now this is more my style. Plain and simple. Simply A Saddle

I am truly enjoying Collage Camp. It's fun to post pictures on the camp and get feedback from the other campers. They are a talented group from all over the world. If you're still sitting on the fence about joining I would highly recommend it. And how about those of you that joined but haven't shown us any pictures? Hmmmm...I won't name any names. You know who you are! Get busy! We still want to have the Camp Get Together at Mystic Paper so we can see these pieces in person. How about we shoot for the end of September? Sound good? I'll send the e-mail out today. Are there any out of town campers that will be visiting Arizona in September? We would love to have you join us!

Crazy busy...that's where I've been!

Long time no blog. We are crazy busy at the store. While that's a good thing, it leaves very little time for anything else besides sleep and mundane chores. Hopefully life will slow down a bit and I will be able to take some pictures of something fun like more fun from Collage Camp!

Check out our store blog!

We've got a great give away going on. You won't want to miss this.
Yesterdays randomness...

Buck found something fun to play with yesterday

He kept busy for at least an hour doing this. It took the biggest beach towel we had to dry him off.

This is currently nesting in our pecan tree. I was hoping it was our eagle visitor but upon further inspection we found a Turkey Vulture. Pretty ugly huh!

And this morning his mate showed up. Nice!
