Here are those beans I was talking about spilling...

The Peddler still has tons of "stuff" that we have moved from AZ to CA. So...we have started a blog where those things will be listed for sale. Some will have shipping included in the cost and some shipping will have to be calculated after you have shopped. We decided to do it this way because after looking at all of the shipping options the "easy"ones seemed really expensive. Your purchases will be boxed in our boxes and weighed . You will be charged actual shipping charges.

So go here and check it out! The Peddler's Corner. Of course, The Peddlers Wife will be posting a few things there too! New items will post daily. And that's a promise. I love that Blogger let's you schedule your posts!

And keep an eye on The Peddler's e-bay sight. He's loading things as we speak. E-bay name is Rjpeddler.

This is the kitchen valance I am working on. I loved the K.C. Willis Collage Camp I joined and I wanted to incorporate her techniques in to this. Still needs work, but I wanted to share!

Pretty rustic country don't you think?

To Say That My Photography Skills Are Bad...

Would be an understatement. But when there is a new baby this cute how could I resist!

Meet new baby Libby! She is Ellen and Rob's new addition and she is adorable. I think she just didn't appreciate being woke up to change into this cocoon and hat for pictures. Honestly, who would? The things we make these new babies do!

A blurry pic of mom and baby. I think by this time Libby was more interested in Mom's groceries than anything!

And the proud (over the top) proud new Dad! Congratulations to both of you on a beautiful new baby girl! She is beyond precious!

These Things Make Us Happy

Scored these great chippy old windows today. I see fabric collage in each of these panes. And they were cheap...can you hear me squealing?

Same sale...this makes The Peddler happy. Old school house lights. Still have the cloth wiring but that's a simple fix!

The Peddler's new man cave he built. Huge and has it's own heat source compliments of another yard sale. No excuse to come in out of the cold now. And, it is getting cold!

And little Jayce who looked like a little bird in this picture is now...

looking like this! One chunky happy camper and he lives less than 1/2 mile from us!

It really doesn't take much to make us happy!

Hope you are all happy too!

Lots accomplished today!

The POD is officially gone. No more elephant at our front door!

This is how the wood stove looked when we bought this house.

Check it out now! Much better

And this makes me smile. It's so close to being done!

About an hour later...wine glasses are hung and hardware is on doors and drawers!

We're getting there little by little. And I make The Peddler pinky swear...this is the last house!

Progress

To think that we started with this...

Went on to this.

And now we have this! I think this is my favorite kitchen of all the kitchens we have redone!

This...

is the beautiful sunset we were met with when we crossed in to California. I think it's saying welcome home!

This is what is burning in our living room tonight. I have missed having a fire so much.

I promise new pictures tomorrow. We are finally feeling like this is home. Still unpacking and trying to figure out how to go from a 3 bedroom, den, living room, and 2 bath, to a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, den and still keep what I can't bear to get rid of.

We are having some spectacular thunder and lightening storms. What I love about storms here is that we don't get the high winds and the dust storms. The power is out in town and one grocery store is open because they have a generator. And, it's quiet, oh so quiet.

More tomorrow!

A Few More Before and After's

I didn't get a good start on this part of the house. This is after The Peddler had started on the hallway. You're looking straight on at the laundry room on the right and linen closet on the left. There was nothing here before except for a hole.

This is looking down the hallway now. Far right door is the furnace. Middle doors, washer and dryer, last door is the linen closet. Door on far left is the bathroom, and on the other side of that is the bedroom.

This is the closet/second bedroom before. This was one big room that was made into two rooms separated only by some paneling. The walls around the cedar lined closet had apparently been torn down for more room.

This little space is just off the closet and will be the office/craft room.

Another shot of the horrible shape this house was in.

Missing cedar in the closet.

New enclosed walk in closet.

New cedar and some custom made Peddler shelving. Hmmmm smells so good in here now.

Old wall separating the two bedrooms. Had to move the electrical (if you can call it that) before the wall came down.

Lovely blue paneling and window that only opened by dropping down.

Beginnings of a new bedroom. Still has the old window. There also used to be the same kind of window on the far back wall of the room.

Almost finished bedroom with new window. Excuse the mess, The Peddler's brother is here helping and we could offer him only the best of air mattresses and patio furniture. But hey, at least we now have cable. I don't we think we could have got him to come without that. It is football season afterall!Old, disgusting bathroom complete with water heater.

Midway bathroom. The water heater has been relocated.

New tub, tile and vanity!

That's it for now. We've got the kitchen to do, cabinets to install, flooring to put down in the kitchen and livingroom and walls, ceiling, and beams to paint. We're getting there!

Not Much Posting Going On Around Here...

But here are some photos of what we've been up to for the last month.

We camped here on the California coast. This was taken from our camp spot. You can't much closer to the beach that this. It was beautiful!

We saw lots and lots of these every day!

The dogs loved wrestling on the beach.

Roxy loved the water. She would stick her whole head in and eventually got brave enough to head out into the waves.

We went to a ton of yard sales in this. Anyone know what this is? It sure did get alot of attention!

We visited the Cornell Winery. This greets you at the door.

We ate here. This is called "The Old Place". Rick has talked about it for years and he finally took me there. Loved it!

It's really small inside so get there early. There are only five booths and they were all reserved. So, we sat at the bar!

This bar to be exact!

This wayward picture of the winery wouldn't cooperate so this is where it is staying! Maybe it had too much wine. haha

We found an air show to stop by at.
This was simply called "The Wind" and was really hard to get a decent picture of.

Rick and his longtime buddy Dave.

This is a C130. This is just like the plane that Rick flew to Antarctica to when he worked there years ago.

And this was today's lunch. Avocado, tomato, cilantro, chicken, and a squeeze of lime!
